Mike was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School in 1967. Afterwards, he continued his education at Millersville University, earning his bachelor's degree in 1971. He furthered his academic pursuits at Penn State University, obtaining a Master's degree in 1975. With a solid educational foundation, Mike set sail into the world of real estate, establishing Mastros Real Estate in Lancaster where he found success for many years.
Mike was also heavily involved with LCAR, demonstrating leadership, he served as President Elect within the association. He also taught at the Real Estate School of LCAR, where he taught Mediation and Code of Ethics. When teaching, he would often yell at the beginning of each class, “Good Morning” (or afternoon). If the class did not respond loudly enough, he would yell again even louder until they reciprocated. He wanted everyone in the class to know that they were in for a good time. And back when projectors were a thing, Mike would often open with a cartoon, usually a Calvin and Hobbs or Hager the Horrible cartoon.
